F1 fans from all over the world have voted for the most exciting Grand Prix of this 2021. Monza is in the lead, with a double McLaren to victory. 2. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, 16%
Title contenders Verstappen and Hamilton went to the season finale on equal points, the first time in F1 since 1974, and the opportunity certainly did not disappoint.
Hamilton was comfortably controlling the race as even the fierce defense of Verstappen team-mate Sergio Perez failed to bring the Dutchman back into play. However, everything changed during the Safety Car: Verstappen returned to the pits, returning P2 again, and on the last lap he passed Hamilton on the freshest tires, thus winning the first World Championship of his career.
3. Grand Prix of Sao Paulo, 10%
Hamilton's "rocket engine" propelled him to an epic performance at Interlagos. Hamilton moved from the rear to fifth in sprint qualifying, but started from tenth due to penalties for changing the internal combustion engine. Hamilton managed to win with a lead of over 10 seconds over Verstappen.
4. Azerbaijani Grand Prix, 8%
The tires gave way for many in Baku, with Lance Stroll and Max Verstappen suffering high-speed crashes as their Pirelli tires burst. For Verstappen, it happened when he was leading the race, a blow to his title race at the time, but for Red Bull, hope remained as Perez inherited the lead. Hamilton tried to recover from the restart, but accidentally altering the brake settings, he went straight into Turn 1.
5. Hungarian Grand Prix, 7%
Valtteri Bottas triggered a multi-car rear-end collision at the start, eliminating himself and Perez. Leaving Verstappen with significant damage that made him absent throughout the race. Alpine's Esteban Ocon found himself in the lead thanks to the chaos, but Hamilton was on the way until Fernando Alonso's other Alpine stepped in to shield his teammate.
